△ PHOSPHORSWL — PRIVACY POLICY

Last updated: March 2026

DATA COLLECTION

PhosphorSWL does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. The app does not require an account, registration, or sign-in of any kind.

NETWORK REQUESTS

PhosphorSWL makes two types of network request, both for data retrieval only:

EiBi Schedule Refresh: The app periodically downloads updated shortwave broadcast schedules from eibispace.de. This is a simple HTTPS GET request for a publicly available CSV file. No user data, device identifiers, or personal information is sent.

HF Propagation Data: The app fetches the current planetary K-index from the NOAA Space Weather Prediction Center (services.swpc.noaa.gov) to display HF propagation conditions. This is a public US Government API. No user data is sent.

No other network requests are made. There are no analytics endpoints, no telemetry, no tracking pixels, no advertising networks.

LOCAL DATA STORAGE

PhosphorSWL stores user preferences (colour theme, refresh interval, favourites) and cached broadcast schedule data locally on your device using standard iOS mechanisms (UserDefaults and the app's Documents directory). This data never leaves your device.

ANALYTICS AND TRACKING

PhosphorSWL does not include any analytics frameworks, crash reporters, advertising SDKs, or third-party tracking of any kind.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

PhosphorSWL uses no third-party services or SDKs. The app is built entirely with Apple's native frameworks (SwiftUI, MapKit, Network). The only external data sources are the EiBi schedule database and the NOAA Space Weather Prediction Center, both accessed via simple HTTP requests with no authentication or user identification.

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

PhosphorSWL does not collect data from anyone, including children.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a revised date.
