☼ PHOSPHORSOL — PRIVACY POLICY

Last updated: February 2026

DATA COLLECTION

PhosphorSol does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. The app does not require an account, registration, or sign-in of any kind.

NETWORK REQUESTS

PhosphorSol connects to NOAA's Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC) public APIs to retrieve live space weather data including solar wind measurements, Kp indices, X-ray flux readings, aurora forecasts, and alert bulletins. These requests are made directly from your device to NOAA servers. No data passes through any intermediary server operated by us.

LOCATION DATA

PhosphorSol uses your device's approximate latitude solely to calculate local aurora probability from NOAA's OVATION model data. This location information is processed entirely on-device and is never transmitted, stored, or shared with any third party.

LOCAL DATA STORAGE

PhosphorSol caches space weather data locally on your device to provide faster loading and trend history. This data consists solely of publicly available NOAA/SWPC readings and contains no personal information. This data never leaves your device.

ANALYTICS AND TRACKING

PhosphorSol does not include any analytics frameworks, crash reporters, advertising SDKs, or third-party tracking of any kind.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

The only external service PhosphorSol communicates with is NOAA's Space Weather Prediction Center, which is operated by the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Their use of any data is governed by their own privacy policy.

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

PhosphorSol does not collect data from anyone, including children.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a revised date.
