Data Collection
Wiccan Clock does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. The app does not require an account, registration, or sign-in of any kind.
Network Requests
Wiccan Clock makes two kinds of network request, and only when you ask for them. If you type the name of a place, the app hands that text to Apple’s own geocoding service to turn it into coordinates and a time zone. If you type coordinates by hand while online, it asks the same service which time zone they fall in. Nothing else about you accompanies either request.
You can avoid both. Entering coordinates with the time zone chosen from a list needs no network at all. Every other figure in the app — every sunrise, every sunset, every planetary hour, the Moon’s phase and sign, every void of course and every planner result — is computed on your device from bundled algorithms and data. Once a place is saved the app needs no network again.
Location
If you allow it, Wiccan Clock can read your location on the device to fill in a place for you. That is its only use, and it is asked for only when you tap for it, never at launch. The coordinates are rounded to two decimals before they are stored, which is about a kilometre. They are never transmitted anywhere. You can decline the permission and type a place name or a coordinate instead; the app works normally either way.
Local Data Storage
Your saved places, your saved elections and your preference settings are stored locally on your device using standard iOS mechanisms. They are not backed by any server and they are not shared with anyone. The currently selected place and your clock format are shared with the app’s own widgets through a private app group on your device, because the widgets compute the hours themselves; nothing leaves the device in doing so.
Notifications
All notifications are scheduled locally on your device by the app itself. There is no push server and no push certificate. Nothing about what you have chosen to be alerted for is sent anywhere. Notifications are off until you turn them on, and declining the permission leaves every other part of the app working.
Sharing and Export
Sharing a day’s schedule, a planner search or a single hour composes text on your device and hands it to the standard iOS share sheet. Where it goes from there is entirely your choice. Wiccan Clock does not upload it anywhere.
Analytics and Tracking
Wiccan Clock does not include any analytics frameworks, crash reporters, advertising SDKs, or third-party tracking of any kind. We do not know who you are, where you are, or how you use the app. That is by design.
Third-Party Services
Apart from Apple’s geocoding service described above, Wiccan Clock does not communicate with any third-party services. There are no embedded web views, no social media integrations, no advertising networks, and no data brokers.
Children’s Privacy
Wiccan Clock does not collect data from anyone, including children.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a revised date. Given that the app collects no data, changes are unlikely.
