Meteor Wheel

Is it worth going outside tonight?
Optimal · Good · Fair · Poor · Washed Out

Most meteor apps hand you a calendar of dates. Meteor Wheel weighs tonight’s sky at your location and gives you a verdict.

It accounts for how much of the Moon is lit and whether it is up during your dark window, how high the radiant climbs, the length of real darkness at your latitude, and the light pollution where you stand. Nineteen annual showers, ranked by what you will actually see.

About the Numbers

Every figure in the catalogue comes from a source rather than an estimate, principally the International Meteor Organization’s working list of visual meteor showers. Where a value is genuinely unknown, the app says so on its Reference tab instead of inventing one.

Privacy

No ads. No tracking. No subscriptions. No in-app purchases. No network calls. Every calculation, from solar longitude to Moon phase to radiant altitude, runs on your device, so it works in a field with no signal.
