Birthstones app for iPhone and iPad. 38 traditions of birthstones by month, zodiac sign, weekday, hour, season and planet, from the breastplate of Aaron to the Hindu navaratna and the jewellers' list of 1912, each read from George Frederick Kunz's The Curious Lore of Precious Stones (1913) and shown side by side. Birth profiles gather every stone that applies to one person, with the sign worked out from the true position of the Sun. A dictionary of 93 stones gives historical names, mineralogy from Dana and lore quoted from Kunz. Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, an optional daily notification, no account and fully offline.
