SCOPE
This policy covers the Phosphor SWL Suite II bundle as a whole. Each included app also publishes its own privacy policy, linked at the foot of this page, and those are authoritative for that app's specifics.
DATA COLLECTION
None of the apps in this bundle collect, store, or transmit personal data. No app requires an account, registration, or sign-in of any kind.
ANALYTICS AND TRACKING
No app in this bundle includes analytics frameworks, crash reporters, advertising SDKs, or third-party tracking of any kind.
MICROPHONE ACCESS
PhosphorPSK, PhosphorFeld, and PhosphorTEX use your device's microphone to capture audio for real-time signal decoding. All audio processing occurs entirely on-device in real time. Audio is not recorded, stored, or transmitted. No audio data ever leaves your device. These apps do not function without microphone permission, but no data is collected regardless of whether permission is granted.
LOCATION
PhosphorBeam and PhosphorOrbit use your device's location to compute satellite positions and pass predictions for your observing position. Location is processed entirely on-device and is never transmitted, stored, or shared. Neither app requires it. PhosphorBeam accepts manually entered coordinates instead, and PhosphorOrbit falls back to a fixed observer position.
NETWORK REQUESTS
PhosphorPSK, PhosphorFeld, and PhosphorTEX make no network requests. They are entirely offline.
PhosphorSol, PhosphorBeam, PhosphorOrbit, and PhosphorWX retrieve public data directly from public sources, NOAA's Space Weather Prediction Center, the AviationWeather.gov API operated by NOAA's National Weather Service, CelesTrak, and GitHub for amateur satellite transponder frequencies. These requests carry no account, no identifier, and no personal information. No data passes through any intermediary server operated by us, and there are no telemetry endpoints.
LOCAL DATA STORAGE
Each app stores its own decoded output, cached public data, and user preferences locally on your device using standard iOS mechanisms. This data never leaves your device.
THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
No app in this bundle uses third-party SDKs or frameworks. All are built with Apple's native frameworks. The only external services contacted are the public data sources named above, and their use of any data is governed by their own policies.
CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
No app in this bundle collects data from anyone, including children.
